Boardmasters has told fans that its capacity, hours and site layout will remain unchanged in 2026.
The music and surf festival, which will be held from 5 to 9 August at Watergate Bay and Fistral Beach in Newquay, will welcome 58,000 fans for headliners including Kasabian, Fatboy Slim and Loyle Carner.
There are no proposed changes to festival times in 2026, but there has been a request for the main stage to run music acts until 23:00 BST on Thursdays from 2027 onwards. The main stage on Thursdays has traditionally played host to a silent disco in the evenings.
Noise limits would remain in place, with “strong safeguards” to ensure local residents were not disturbed, said festival organisers.
The festival said it would carry on working in partnership with Cornwall Council, environmental health, the safety advisory group which works with emergency services, as well as local residents and businesses.
A 28‑day public consultation will begin following the licence submission on 12 January and a community meeting is scheduled for 18:00 on 14 January at the Boardmasters Beach Bar at Fistral.
Residents will be able to view the full application via Cornwall Council’s website once the consultation opens.
