A woman has died following an accident involving a pedestrian and a car.
Avon and Somerset Police said officers were called to the crash scene on Berrow Road in Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset, at 19:19 GMT on Thursday.
The woman, who was in her 70s, died at the scene, while the driver of the car was uninjured, the force added.
Berrow Road was closed for several hours, but has since reopened.
Police said that while formal identification has not taken place, the woman’s next-of-kin have been informed and are being supported by a specially-trained family liaison officer.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage has been asked to contact the force.
