Torquay United have signed Exeter City defender Ed James on a one-month loan deal.
The 21-year-old, who has played for the Wales Under-21 side, has made eight first team appearances for the Grecians, six of which have come in the EFL Trophy.
He has also had extensive experience in non-league with loans at Weston-super-Mare, Yeovil Town, Bath City and Chippenham Town.
He comes in after Jordan Dyer was injured in last week’s win at Dover Athletic.
“We’re a little bit light defensively, especially in the centre-back area,” Gulls boss Paul Wotton said.
“He’s a player I’ve watched for a couple of years now and I’ve seen him mature and grow. He’s physically strong and I know Exeter think a lot of him. He’ll do very well for us.”
