Rail passengers are facing disruption on services through Southampton Central after a cracked rail was found on one of the lines.
Fewer trains are able to run in the Southampton area and speed restrictions will remain in place until the track is fixed.
The defective track is affecting CrossCountry, Great Western Railway, South Western Railway and Southern services.
It means trains to and from Southampton may be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised. Disruption is expected until 09:00 GMT.
