Dogs rescued from large blaze at Devon static home

Two dogs were rescued from a blaze at a static home in south-west England, firefighters said.

Devon and Somerset Fire Service said it was called to the incident near the A361 in Ash Mill, near Knowstone in Devon, at about 12:40 GMT on Sunday.

The service said crews from Barnstaple, South Molton, Tiverton and Witheridge were dispatched and found the static home – which was “severely damaged” by the fire – was “well alight”.

It added the crews managed to rescue the dogs from the property and the cause of the blaze, which was put out just after 17:40, was thought to be accidental.
