More free parking will temporarily be available in Camborne from next year to support businesses during works in the town centre.
The works are part of a Town Deal scheme to improve the appearance of the town centre.
The first phase began in November within New Connexion Street and work on the second phase at Commercial Street and around the town square is due to start in January.
Project lead Kieren Couch said he hoped the free parking would “encourage people to continue to visit the town centre during this period”.
One hour of free parking will be available at Rosewarne car parks in Camborne from 5 January.
The offer will remain in place until the scheduled end of the project in May.
Mr Couch said: “Whilst we will be working closely with our partners to keep disruption to a minimum, we recognise that the restrictions will temporarily affect local businesses, residents and visitors to the town.”
Following the free hour charges will be in place at both the Rosewarne car parks.
Camborne Town Deal has said the works require several short-term road closures with diversion routes.
Pedestrian access with be maintained during the works and access for deliveries provided as close to individual businesses as possible.
