The county has presented itself in all its glory this week, with highlights including views of the sea and Glastonbury Tor.
Meanwhile, Glastonbury Festival founder Michael Eavis celebrated his 90th birthday.
That and more can be found in this week’s picture roundup.

Dog days: Pilton shone in a special light this week, with BBC Weather Watcher Philbert Nut capturing a beautiful view of Glastonbury Tor.

Happy Birthday: The founder of Glastonbury Festival celebrated his 90th birthday on Friday. Michael Eavis hosted the first festival on Worthy Farm in Somerset in 1970, and it is now the largest greenfield festival in the world. He celebrated his birthday with friends, family and his band.

Singing school: Victoria Mason started her new role this term as a lecturer in commercial music at Bath Spa University, teaching students about the creative profession.
She said the music industry is “a very different place” from when she rose to fame in 2008, and wants to share her advice on staying “resilient” in an evolving digital era.

Project Orchard: A collaboration between the NHS Somerset Armed Forces team and the National Trust at Dunster Castle is supporting military veterans and their friends and families.
The project is transforming an overgrown woodland area in West Somerset into a blossoming community orchard.
To mark the planting milestone, the group celebrated with homemade apple scones and apple juice.

Lucky find: Documents that led to Britain getting its first female prime minister are expected to fetch £100,000 at auction.
The nomination paper, signed by Margaret Thatcher, was found in cardboard box in a Somerset garage.

“Dental desert”: The new dental surgery in Wellington has opened.
It is the first NHS service to open in the town for a decade, and took on 4,000 people before it even opened its doors, with the area formerly described by health chiefs as a “dental desert”.

One way or another: Online petitions are calling for a new road layout in Bridgwater to be scrapped.
Businesses in the town have criticised the new one-way system now in place on East Quay, Salmon Parade and Eastover – which is part of the town’s Celebration Mile.
